Who We Are

X-axis is a level 1 B-BBEE Company founded in 2006 by Xolani Zondi.  He was cognisant of the new social order of democracy that demanded new ways of being in post-apartheid South Africa. The dawn of democracy presented a new set of challenges and struggles for all, but especially for marginalised communities, and the workplace environment, due to the structural inequities entrenched by the apartheid era, and the demands of a multi-cultural and diverse society, among other factors. It became clear to Xolani that the people of South Africa needed a space to re-imagine their country and their place in it; a new way of thinking and a new way of being. And so, from the very beginning, X-axis set its eyes on rural and informal communities, in and out of school youth and the workplace environment, to help them learn through discovery how to identify, manage and enhance their internal resources and social assets towards the achievement of whatever goals they set themselves. Over the past 15 years the company have been focusing on three main categories of consulting and professional coaching, namely: Community Development, Team Building and Social Research.
